Dunn/Kelly Court Challenge to Texas Advance Directive Act

The case of Christopher Dunn / Evelyn Kelly against Houston Methodist challenges the constitutionality of the Texas Advance Directive Act.

The case is scheduled for trial on August 21, 2017.  But it appears that date will get pushed back to November.  First, the parties delayed discovery in hopes that the issue would be mooted by legislative amendments to TADA.  Since that did not happen, the parties must complete discovery to prepare for trial.  Second, the parties are hoping to have motions for summary judgment heard on August 11, 2017.
